Always the host never the guest on this holiday! We really treasure this day of thanks, and love to have people over!

I would love to host a thanksgiving but we live in an apartment that would not be able to hold the amount of people that we would want to invite. Nor is my kitchen large anough for such a large meal. We will be guests at my DH's families house in SD.

I posted some information about a Thanksgiving side dishes cooking class this morning under the Recipes discussion category for any of you ladies that will be hosting!

This is my first year hosting Thanksgiving dinner. I am a little nervous something might go wrong.

Hosting! I LOVE Thanksgiving, it's my favorite holiday of the year! My parents are driving from CO to SC to visit. I love to host, but don't get to do it that often because we're military and so it's usually just us on holidays, or we travel home (ughh) and have to split holidays between three or 4 different houses that want us to visit! Besides... I like my cooking best! LOL
This year is especially important to me because my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer this summer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and doing fairly well but I don't know how many more holidays I will have left with her. ***sob***

I make everything 100% from scratch...okay except the Jello, the butter and the rolls which I use frozen dough only because I've never been able to time my homemade ones right....I'll actually start prepping next week. I live to cook Thanksgiving dinner! It's my favorite meal to cook. MMMMMMMM......pumpkin pie......mmmmm turkey.......mmmmmm my famous gravy which is it's own food group in my family.....oooooooo I can't wait.

we are always the guest because we always have like 3 or 4 different places to go so the day is pretty much taken up!!

We have hosted our extended family every year for the past 10 years. I make two large turkeys with all the trimmings.

I'm a guest but I'll be bringing the dessert! I'm going to make three pies! WOOT!

We always host and invite our friends over for pot luck style Thanksgiving. Everyone brings a dish to share and we take care of the Turkey and place to have Thanksgiving.
