Coloring on walls

Lucky for me my first daughter only colored on the walls with crayons once.  But today my youngest daughter surprised me with an array of art on her bedroom wall...green and blue scribbles..all across the wall.

So I thought I would pass along a cleaning solution that works wonders.  Make a paste with baking soda and warm water.  All you need to do is dip a white washcloth into the mixture and use gentle circular motions over the area.   When you are finished you can use the rinsed out washcloth in warm water to remove any residue left on the wall.  I know a lot of people swear by Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser, something I've used as well, but this really does work the best.  ...and it doesn't remove the paint from the wall.

(Forgive me if I posted in the wrong category.)

Great tip!  Knock on wood Austin has only colored a small bit on a wall by a window and then once on the tile floor.  The washable crayons and markers by crayola came off really easily with a damp cloth.  I will keep this in mind as I'm sure we'll have more to clean as he learns the appropriate places for coloring.

What a great tip!  Thanks for passing along the info.  Tristin hasn't been that creative yet, but I am sure the day will come soon :)

I swear my walls show no sign of her recent blue/green coloring escapade...it's amazing!!

Oh No!!!  Hmmm...well if I find anything out for marker removal, I'll pass it along your way!
