I have noticed lately that my son and I eat a lot of sandwhichs for lunch.  I remember when I was pregnant I wasn't supposed to eat the deli meat very often, but I was wondering if the same applies to young children.  Does anyone know?  My son is about 2 1/2 and has never had an allergic reaction to eating the meat.

I know that deli meat isn't the best...contains a lot of chemicals.  At Whole Foods that have turkey deli meat that is so good.  They basically just roast a turkey and slice it from there...so the sandwiches seem like Thansgiving left over sandwiches!!  It's rather expensive, but so worth it.  A pound is like $14, but it seems to last us a while...we get lots of sandwiches out of it.
